so this weekend my wife had a major grand mal seizure for the first time in her life.
she was rushed to the er.
a few hours later while i was at her side she had another major one.. it was the scariest moment in my life.
Outlaw... I'm sort of a Corner Gas Evangelist here. A few years ago when my cousin from Edmonton paid us a visit he brought us the first season. We have been buying each season as they became available in DVD. We have loaned them to people and bought copies as gifts. Everyone we have shown it too thinks it is very funny. I think it is one of the funniest shows ever.

Ok Outlaw so which episode of Corner Gas it that scene from? Do you happen to know? I have all five seasons and don't remember seeing that scene.

i typed the first part and the last part of the paragraph in question so as to avoid the filler.. we too may face situations for which we could be tempted to seek unscriptural solutions.

Yes, there's that. Also remember Paul never was married so he wasn't speaking from personal experience.
It does make sense to marry someone that believes the same way you do but as all of us on this board know people's beliefs can change over time so you had better marry someone who is tolerant of of other beliefs and someone you really enjoy being with not just someone who goes to the same church or whatever as you do.

Like SD7 said you have more important things to do than go to one of their pointless little tribunals. You don't accept their authority anymore so why let them sit in judgement of you. I haven't read a lot of post lately so I'm not sure what exactly what has gone on with you. If you are still trying to get your wife to see that they Watchtower isn't the truth then I think it is time to back off and accept that she isn't ready to leave a may remain in the Jbubs forever. All you can try to get here to see that if she wants how she feels about things respected then she needs to respect your beliefs.
I also believe you need professional help in dealing with this nasty situation that was created not by you but by the Watchower.

tuesday night, i drove to a couple of older sister's homes, and dropped off their magazines, and kindom ministries.
thursday night, i went to the meeting and cleaned and locked up the building.
i also dropped someone off who earlier recieved a ride to the hall but their ride couldn't come back to take them home.
I'm telling you, I kid you not, but my CO will be visiting in a couple months, and I swear I'm going to lay him out on the floor.
Time to get out of there my friend. I think you are reaching the point where your above statement could come true. Better to just walk away from it all. You are wasting your life trying to please them and no matter what you do they willl always want more. You seem worried about how they will view you if stop playing the role you are playing. Who cares? Who needs them? They'll find some poor schlub to take advantage of once you are gone. You may be surprise how quickly they forget about you. Just get out and get on with your life. The longer you stay the more bitter you will become and eventually (and I think pretty soon) you will blow up. Once you take a stand and leave you will be amazed at the weight that is lifted off of your shoulders.
Remember that when you leave the Watchtower you are leaving an organization that is corrupt. You are not leaving the people. It is their decision to leave you. If some of them still choose to be friends with you (don't count on it) fine. That would be nice. If not oh well! That is their choice not yours. We all choice our own paths in life. You really need to get on a path that suits you. The one you are on is destroying you.

bad diets are leading to an ever increasing population of diabetic and fat children and adults.
if we keep this up, more and more people will be too sick to work or live a normal life.
That was one of the issues that really started me thinking about if the Watchtower was really God's organization. They would kick someone out for smoking because it wasn't healthy and yet put up with people that were eating their way to a coronary attack.

I forgot about that quote from the so called "Truth Book" Nicolauo. I remember back when I was dubbing my way through life and using that book as the ultimate guide to life I had a discussion with my bother-in-law regarding that very quote. He was in college at the time and taking lots of science classes. He disputed the claim in the TB but and proved it wrong but at the time I was too brainwashed to understand.

These are the guys who brought you Christ's return in 1874 and the end of the world in 1914 and a host of other false prophecies. You'd think after a while it might cross there mind that just maybe we don't know what the hell we are talking about maybe we should just shut up. But not these guys they just keep on spewing out more nonsense trying to convince everyone that they are the chosen ones with a direct line to God.

You might as well ask me what world events would cause me to eat mouse droppings. I can't think of any world event where eating mouse droppings or going back to a Kingdom Hall would make the situation any better.
I guess the question is more for those who leave for reasons other than finding out it isn't the truth. Maybe if someone left just to live a wild lifestyle something might scare them into returning.
